Areas we like
Chania
The western end of Crete, where a Venetian and Ottoman harbour town sits between the White Mountains and a long north-coast shoreline. Chania has a year-round resident population, an international airport, and beaches within fifteen minutes of the old town.
ExploreParos
A Cycladic island in the centre of the Aegean, between Mykonos and Naxos, with its own airport and a year-round population. Parikia is the ferry port and main town, Naoussa the fishing harbour in the north, and the marble quarries inland gave the island the stone used for the Venus de Milo.
ExploreSantorini
The rim of a collapsed volcano in the southern Cyclades. The caldera villages — Fira, Imerovigli, Oia — sit on the cliff edge, while the flat eastern side of the island holds the airport, the black-sand beaches at Kamari and Perissa, the vineyards and most of the year-round life.
ExplorePaphos
The south-west corner of Cyprus, where the coastal plain runs from Paphos town towards Limassol past villages, citrus groves and golf courses. Mandria, Timi and Kouklia sit on this stretch — flat, agricultural, close to the sea, and within a quarter of an hour of the international airport.
ExploreAthens
The historic centre of Athens sits in a bowl between Lykavittos, Filopappou and the Acropolis rock. Monastiraki, Plaka, Psyrri and Thiseio ring the ancient city, tight streets of neoclassical and post-war blocks where the Parthenon is visible from roof level almost everywhere.
ExploreWhy we work in Greece & Cyprus
Why here
- Island and coastal positions with direct access to the sea.
- Stone and whitewashed architecture in authentic villages.
- A long outdoor season and a strong summer tourism market — and in Cyprus, one of the longest usable seasons in the Mediterranean.
- Coast, forest and mountain villages within a short drive of each other in Cyprus.
- Relative value in places that remain less internationally traded.
Ownership
- Seasonal rental demand can be strong in Greece, but it is concentrated in a short window; Cyprus is closer to year-round.
- Title, planning and access must be checked carefully — particularly on Greek islands and on Cypriot title deeds.
- Scarcity of good sea-facing positions supports long-term value in specific locations.
How Yoin works here
- Island-by-island sourcing in Greece, and coastal, village and Troodos sourcing in Cyprus.
- Title-deed, planning and building-permit review before an offer.
- Renovation coordination where island or village logistics are the main constraint.
- Seasonal rental setup and management where appropriate.
