Luna Townhouse, Cádiz
Calle Luna, old town, beside the Alameda, Cádiz, Spain
Why We Selected It

Cádiz is one of the last historic centres in Spain where a genuinely good home is still priced sensibly, and this one has the thing you cannot add later: height. Four and a half metres of ceiling turns an ordinary floor plan into something that feels like a small palazzo, and the 2018 rehabilitation of the whole building — lift included — means the work has already been done properly rather than left as a project. The street itself is protected under Andalusian architectural heritage, so what surrounds you will not change. It is a house built for people rather than for photographs: long tables, card games, a full house at Christmas, the Falla final with friends.
The Home

Duplex apartment in a listed building, freehold · Fully rehabilitated in 2018, move-in ready
A 112 m² duplex on Calle Luna in the old town of Cádiz, a step from the Alameda and with the sea visible from the balconies. The building was rehabilitated in full in 2018 and has a lift; inside, the ceilings run to four and a half metres.
- 112 m² arranged as a duplex, in a building rehabilitated in its entirety in 2018 and served by a lift.
- Ceilings of 4.5 metres with exposed timber beams — the defining feature of the apartment.
- Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with fitted wardrobes throughout.
- Open kitchen with island opening into the main living room, and a separate dining corner beside tall windows and original tiled floors.
- A wine cellar, and air conditioning in every room.
- The building is listed by the Architectural Heritage of Andalusia within the historic centre of Cádiz (B.O.E. 25/11/1978), Grade 3 protection for its environmental character.
Life Here
The Alameda
The Alameda Apodaca gardens and the Atlantic seafront are a step from the door; the sea is visible from the balconies.
Green and beach
Parque Genovés, the lung of the city, is six minutes on foot; La Caleta beach thirteen.
The street
Calle Luna has changed names more than once — Céspedes in 1646, then Marzal, then Luna, after the defender of the Aragonese fueros against Philip II in 1591.
The year
Carnaval, the Falla final, long Atlantic summers and winters warm enough to eat outside — Cádiz is lived in all year, not only in August.
Our Perspective
Why it works
Height, light and a finished building inside the protected old town, at a price that would not buy a small flat in Málaga or Seville.
Ownership case
The historic centre of Cádiz cannot expand and its buildings cannot be replaced, while the city has become steadily more visited and more lived in. Rehabilitated stock with a lift is a small share of that market, and it is the part that holds value.
What makes it special
Four-and-a-half-metre ceilings with exposed timber beams, in a building fully rehabilitated in 2018 with a lift; the sea is visible from the balconies and the Alameda gardens are a step from the door.
Best suited for
A family, or two couples sharing, who want a real house in a real city rather than a holiday flat on a resort coast.
