Why We Selected It
Belmonte is one of the stone villages that give Lake Como its real character — set about 1.5 km above the lake and the services of Pianello, quiet, pedestrian, and held in its nineteenth-century fabric. This house was restored in 2006 with unusual care: the exterior stone walls were brought back, and the interiors keep their old stone slabs in the living room, solid-wood parquet in the bedrooms, and restored internal doors. With four levels, an independent apartment, and three lake-view balconies, it is the rare period Como house that works as a single family home, a B&B, or three separate letting units — and it comes furnished and immediately habitable.
