Why We Selected It
This is the smallest kind of home on Lake Como and, done well, one of the best. The whole apartment is arranged around one thing: the French windows and the balcony beyond them, where the lake opens out at 180 degrees between the mountains. Inside, the 2021 renovation did the work that usually costs the most — new systems throughout, ducted air conditioning with a heat pump for independent heating, a false ceiling with recessed LED lighting in the entrance and bathroom, and a full kitchenette with peninsula. A stone wall gives the room its character; the light does the rest. It is a lake home you can arrive at with a suitcase.
